I read the first in this series months ago and devoured it. I think that review is on this site somewhere. This book was no different.
I will admit I had to go back and read the last few chapters of The Assassin's Curse because it had been so long and I couldn't remember some of the details.
I hate reviewing 2nd and 3rd books in a series because I don't want to ruin it for the people who haven't read the 1st book. So go read the 1st book! The 2nd one is almost out!!!
Overall, I love Ananna. She is so strong, yet vulnerable at the same time. She is used to life as a pirate, to wheeling and dealing, and taking what she wants, but there is a soft side to her that has endeared her to me. That soft side really comes out in this book and makes her so so human. Her relationships with Naji, Marjani and another I won't discuss because I don't want to ruin anything, are on the forefront in this book.
I don't know if there will be a 3rd book in this series. It seemed to end well enough to have one, but it wasn't completely necessary. I am excited to read the other books Clarke has written.
